Hello! Long time no see, very sorry for the absence, it has been a long one (again) In the time that I have been absent from this here blog I have honestly been busy thinking about it. As I have mentioned I am looking out for my Mum (and my Dad) at the moment while they are dealing with "stuff" of a difficult nature.
The sun has been shining these last few days and oh how it lifts my mood! Does it lift yours? I relish the fresh air and sunshine, the earlier sun rise... the later nights! The last couple of days I have made hey as I do! You know me! Sally has had a good ole scrub and a sand to her front and back. Earlier in the week I gave a little coat of paint to her rear and front ends! ooo eeeeer!.
Do you remember Sally was a little bit "burnt orange"
mmmm, think we can do a little better than that!
Sally in the snow! Hard to believe this was only a few weeks ago!
Back to the here and now and its amazing what a few days of hard work can do...
Dave has re sealed the front right corner which he completed in record time due to the lack of rusty nails! He was really quite pleased as this is normally a "pig" of a job (don't know who invented that saying)?
The front box needs a little bit of work but that's for another day!
For now I am very pleased with how she is looking! I feel confident that Sally is in such good condition that you would be hard pushed to find a van like her even if it was only a couple of years old! Yes you heard me right! She may not have hot water but she has all the "mod cons" on the outside that new vans have and to top it off she is so much nicer to look at than a plastic box!
Sally scrubs up well doesn't she!
I have been "playing" with fabrics and of course I would love to keep the lino if I can as it is in good condition.
I would like to say hello to my new followers! Thank you kindly for taking and interest in the happy caravan, I hope you enjoy my pictures of past, future and present ventures and that you enjoy your own ventures.... or you can always purchase one of mine!
I would like to mention that a lovely girly wanted to vote me blog of the week! What a truly amazing thing! Hook line and sink her! is such a cool name for a blog is it not? Feeling a bit cringe but very proud. Thank you again Katie! If you get chance do go and have a nosey over at HOOK LINE AND SINK HER
Will try and blog a little more often soon, in the meantime need to decide on fabric!
Wow - what a transformation!! Can I ask are you self taught as well with regards to changing/covering the upholstery - that is a task my Rosie needs attention to - not sure whether to have a crack at it or pass on to a professional???
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job with the paint! Can't wait to see the interior!x

ReplyDeleteGood looking caravan you have there. I can see the care you take of it. Anytime you want to travel B&W Hitches are the best to trail your caravan along.
