A vintage cooker for a vintage caravan

Hello, sorry I have been absent for so long.... My gorgeous Mum is going through a tough time at the moment so my priorities are with Mum and Dad, today I am going to work in Sally for a few hours as I still need to earn a living!  I will need the heater on as it's snowing again here!  I have made a start on dear Sally, she has been stripped of her carpet and extra little bits of wood.... She has had a sand and a clean and I have made a start on the undercoat!   She has the most amazing old lino, I think perhaps it is called linoleum? Not like lino today, it is very thick and backed in a kind of horse hair!!??

I rather like it, oh yes and look what I have been doing again! Yep, pulling out staples and scrapping carpet backing off the floor!  I am going to try and keep this lino, it is in great condition and just needs a good scrub, if I choose my fabrics carefully I think it could look pretty good do you?

As the kitchen part of the van has been removed I want to put something suitable back in.  We have a fridge and have idea's about the sink and worktop, then something caught my eye online for sale!  So I had to have it!

A "Belling" yes yes a Belling and not a baby belling but a full size belling!  I am so so happy about this as she is in full working order, my Brother in law is a spark so he can check it for me, but I have tried her out and she got hot so quickly!  I just love it, so cute and a real piece of vintage "chic" Another job for Sharon.... get the marigolds on and the cleaner out!  I am confident she is going to look excellent in Sally!

I am now off to put the heater on so I don't freeze while painting today!  I will return tomorrow hopefully with some interior pictures of the "white paint progress"  And hope to show you a few fabric and wallpaper thoughts.  Have a nice day and keep warm,
Sharon xx

  3. Hi Sharon - I love that Lino - we had all lino upstairs when I was little with rugs as we had to save the wall to wall carpet for the 'on show' areas downstairs!!!
