Christmas Caravan

I do apologise for not posting anything for so long, really I do.  I hope that you will forgive me in not providing you with some caravan eye candy for so long!  I am sure you are all very busy with the festive season which is upon us too!   I have good news about Elsie, she is going to her new home this Wednesday which I didn't really expect less than a week before Christmas!  I am pleased as punch about this and of course I am now on the hunt for my next little lady!  Bye bye Elsie you are looking good now!

Apart from Shopping, wrapping and decorating I have been busy with another little project which I thought I would share with you.  I would like to introduce you to Stella...

Stella the "Christmas" Caravan

Isn't she beautiful!!!!!!!

She is a Bailey Mikado 1974

Stella belongs to a  rather lovely chap, my friend Mark who lives in a village in Holland.  He and I share a great love of vintage caravans so a long distance chit chat friendship was born!  Mark is a fan of British made vans and especially those made by Thompson (like Bella who went to Ireland if you remember)? I do hope you have noticed just what good condition she is in?  That cupboard above the sink is to die for!!

I first began chatting to Mark when he got in touch here about painting Stella's interior.  We chatted about paints and rollers and funny caravan wall surfaces.  Fast forward a few weeks and we have gotten along rather well! He is embarking on a little transformation himself with Stella and has roped in the help of a friend to do her electrics......

Oh yes.. and he has roped in another friend to make her some new curtains! (That would be me then).....

Vintage Sanderson of course, trimmed in a little bit of cream lace....

He has begun some painting of the interior too....

I am off to post the curtains to him today and look forward to showing you  Stella's progress in the new year!

That's all for now folks, do have a happy time this Christmas and take care,

Sharon xx
